LANDSCAPES
Welcome to my landscape page, this is a relatively new area for me, as I usually paint animals but am finding that land and seascapes allow me far more freedom than the constraints of a portrait.
Although I now live in Australia, New Zealand remains very dear to me, and is an artists paradise, with so many different moods, some of my work is based on my NZ experiences.
This is the start of a new journey for me, as I am more known for my animal work, but have taken great joy in painting what remains very sentimental to me.

"Cannons Creek" Another view from the bluff Cannons Creek, looking up the inlet. I lived in this area for a few months many years ago and always wanted to paint it. It is one of the pretty inlets on Western Port Bay. Sold

"Ocean Beach Storm." I took a series of photos of the approaching storm at this beach, in Hawkes Bay NZ, this is my second painting of the impending storm. The sun has just broken through which gave an interesting effect. Sold |
Pure NZ- Manawhatu River Estuary Foxton. One of the best days I had in New Zealand, and the recent snow on the ranges, with the River in the foreground, made for a delightful landscape. It had to be painted. Private Collection |

"Raising Storm" Ocean Beach Hawkes Bay, a storm looms on the horizon. It was a very windy, wet day when I visited this beach. The painting is much moodier and darker than my usual work.
